Special Programs
Banner Lake Academy offers special programs to all students from Kindergarten through Third grade. Each special is offered weekly by qualified professionals during the school year and the children have a special to look forward to each day of the week.
Physical Education - Mondays & Fridays
Physical Education (P.E.) is important for the development of young minds and bodies. The Banner Lake Academy Physical Education Program is provided in-house by Mr. Javin. The P.E. program utilizes both an indoor gym and outdoor courts to provide 30 minutes of fun and rigorous exercise. Physical Education is an important educational resource, vital for the succesful development of our children. Movement helps children stay on task in the classroom, encourages a healthy lifestyle, and combats child obesity. P.E. encourages cooperation and teamwork, problem solving, and communication.
Art - Tuesdays
Miss Theresa provides Art education through a partnership with Lighthouse Art. Lighthouse Art Center, Gallery, and School of Art is a for impact art center focused on community. Our shared mission is to inspire, engage, and connect all walks of life through the universal language of art. During weekly art lessons, students are exposed to a variety of art medium and techniques. Projects often compliment events, holidays, and subjects that are important to the students. Children can learn to express themselves creatively in a way that ties them to real life events, people, and objects. This helps children to better understand other subjects. An education rich in art enhances a child's creativity, critical thinking skills, and can enhance academic achievements

Soccer - Wednesdays
Weekly soccer is provided by Coach Gibbo, director/owner of Soccer in the Community. Soccer in the Community is dedicated to helping children learn while they play. While smiles, laughter, and enjoyment are key elements of their impact, the measurement goes beyond the joy they bring. We aim to teach important life lessons through this program. Team sports teach our children cooperation, teamwork, communication, accountability, and sportsmanship. Soccer in the Community also emphasizes the importance of healthy eating, and organizes community soccer games.
